Did anyone else see this 'social experiment' on channel 5 last night.Gist of it was,for those who missed it,send a group of youths who keep breaking the law & whose parents have lost all control over,to experience what life inside would be like for them if they carried on offending.Real prison,warders,guvoner & David Blunkett as parole officer.A couple of youths dropped out pretty sharpish(one did one night before he was withdrawing from fags & booze & decided he could'nt hack it,the other was going stir crazy after 3 hours!).No hope for fags & booze lad,but stir crazy wont want to be ever doing time.The rest of the cocky louts kept on as you were.....until the final scene when they were introduced to thei new cellmates...real ex cons(and a mean lot some of them looked).These cons were introduced to try & show these louts where they were going wrong & that life inside should act as a deterrent.My point....why not do this in real life with repeat offenders,instead of poxy asbos & cautions.I'm hoping one of them yobs gets it in the shower.
