An update on my garden.

The Foxgloves are now coming to the end of their display yet still the bees swoop down in squadrons, although I believe that the correct collective noun for bees is “grist”. A squadron of bees. A grist of bees. Squadron sounds much better.

The last few weeks have been rather wet and not so warm but none-the-less the poppy seeds germinated and produced a proliferation of foliage and hundreds of buds interspersed with meadow flowers. The last few warmer days encouraged the buds to open and show bright red flowers. Not too many for now but there are squillions of buds ready to colour my garden red.
