I always admired the Italian lifesyle and their climate and diet is ideal for me.
I had a husband who was half italian and we visited his family several times.That marriage ended in disaster
Their politics are a farce, which means that to successfully survive you need to be part of an Italian family unit who put family unity a priority above all else, and who would rally round when needed (and are always underfoot when not needed
)
To them, being alone is an alien unnatural condition, which I quite enjoy most of the time.
So I suppose I am not temperamentally suited to live there despite all its other advantages.
