I've had Stan and Babe for quite a while because I absolutely love them. Before that I had Groucho, who I also hero-worship. I guess I go for anything humourous.
Some time ago someone started a similar thread and misspelled avatar as aviator. I though I'd be dead clever (never works, does it?) and I put up a picture of Charles Lindberg, complete with leather helmet and goggles, getting into a plane. It was fine until someone asked me, seriously, if it was a picture of me (
I'm a woman, fer gawd's sake) in my youth.
