My house was built in 2000 so we are on a water meter. Ours is a 3 bedroomed house and there are 4 of us. I think it's expensive at £30 a month for water.
My uncle lived alone in a 4 bedroomed house after his divorce. He requested a meter to be fitted and said it was much cheaper for him.

Your 4 people charge of £30 looks reasonable by comparison
