The Telegraph stated that on 2½ days a week the hospital cannot cope. So all you have to do is arrange for your accident or sudden illness to occur during the other 4½ days then you will be fine.

The problem is that some clown in Whitehall decided to apply the “just in time principle” that is used in the manufacturing industry to hospitals.

But I know how they can solve the problem at a stroke.

Sack some of the managers, and with the money saved open up a new ward and staff it with nurses etc.
