Just wait another 4 years, then it'll be our money that's being wasted. The London Olympics budget has already risen from the original sum of £2.4bn to £9.35bn...want to bet it won't rise even further with the likes of Harriet Harman at the helm? Still, never mind, we can afford it - after all, our economy's in such a healthy state at the moment.
