if they do bring in a licence for the internet are the bbc going to block people from outside the UK from viewing the bbc website or are they going to hunt people down world wide for not having an internt licence

to be honest i see the TV licence as an infingment on our democratic right of choice and an internet licence is just another obsurd tax that will be eventually forced upon us , how they have the gaul to try this beggars belief especialy when people are trying to scrap the TV licence

its about time the licence fee was scrapped and teh bbc were made to fend for themselves and compete with its rivals on an even basis

i know the licence is there apparently because the bbc provides and is obligated to make educational programing but lets face it the govenment could make a law saying that any broadcasting service has to make a certain percentage of its shows educational or they dont get to transmit

lol this bbc malarky irritates the hell of me especialy now they are moving in on the internet and i cant see the govenment refusing for too long because of teh money they will get if every single internet user has to have a licence and also johnathan ross will be due another payrise soon so the money will have to come from somewhere

another predictiction of mine is that if they succeed they will charge a small fee for the first few years of about £20 per year so that people dont see it as worth argueing about but withing 10 years i reakon they will raise it to over £100

like i said i may jsut be paranoid about the bbc but part of me feels this iplayer buisness is just the start of the bbc's relaunch into making us pay them for having an internet connection
