Was born on Croft St and used to go to the papershop next to the Black Bull on Bull bridge. Can't quite recall who owned it but he there for years. Funny thing is we got our papers from there and I delivered from another papershop and the lad that had the same round I took his families papers PMSL now at thought.

Had my 1st legal pint in Black Bull with my Dad in 1973 and the Drill Hall was still going as was the factory across the road.

When on the buses used to have to come under the viaduct from the Dill Hall or Church Kirk run and if empty shoot off up King St and to dept but there was usally someone on for the town centre LOL
