Think I agree with you on this one. I remember watching "Das Boot" (not a bad flic) with a friend of mine. When it got to the end with the crew bleeding and dying all over the place, she started to sob. My response: it's a bloody movie; and if you want to show some emotion, you should be cheering. It's the bad guys who are doing all the dying; the good guys are in the planes, the R. A. F!

I just think that crying is allowing the willing suspension of disbelief to go a tad too far. There's enough real pain and suffering in the world to cry over if one sees fit. Tears are too precious to waste on crap.
