Actually its just called VGA or Dsub 15, SVGA is a specific resolution of screen ( VGA is also but the plug took its name as well)

The audio in on the screen will usually be phono plugs and really you should put a 47Kohm resistor inline of the signal. if you are careful you can just start the volume low and bring it up to about half way on teh lappy then adjust from there using the TV. Personally I would feed it staright into a hifi seeing as even modern LCD Tvs have cheap speakers inside.
