They probably have a minimum charge for opening up the PC to do anything. They have to pay for those big shops somehow.
Talking of PC World, I needed a new printer so I decided what I wanted and checked out my usual places for price. I ended up reserving it at PC World and collecting it. It was £62 which was only a couple of quid dearer than Ebuyer with the postage and I got it then and there. The in store price was £79.99 so I saved £17.99 with a few mouse clicks

Also if it goes faulty in warranty I can take it back without having to mess about with postage.
