Re: Privacy
Well I wouldn't know who to PM because I don't know who knows who that well enough personally. I'm with Cashy that people matter more than things. It's like do you break a door down if you think an elderly neighbour might be incapacitated inside.
We did that once and found the poor lady on the floor. She had tried to get to the door earlier in the day but fallen and the caller had gone away. We called and got no answer, knew she was frail and hardly likely to go out as she was so unsteady on her feet. Yes, I suppose she could have gone out with someone in their car and yes I suppose we could have asked the police to break in and waited for them to come but my late husband gave the back door a big shove and it opened (he broke the little thing the bar went into right out of the door frame!) We found her on the floor and quite disorientated, called an ambulance and got her to hospital. She was suffering from bruises and hypothermia. She didn't sue us for breaking the door down. In fact she thanked us and so did her daughter.
Sometimes it's just hard to know what to do for best but in future I will not ask where anyone is if they are absent from the forum if it could possibly lead to them being burgled.
