It would actually be the start of a pretty good storyline and set a moral example: spy using 'phone while driving crashes his car.
There's a bit in Casino Royale where Daniel Craig is driving a Mondeo
at ridiculous speeds through Nassau and looks down at his handheld SatNav for ages. Of couse it's artistic licence and he hits nothing, but it was long enough for him to his a building, never mind a kid running into the street. This sort of thing has been in TV and film for ages. The (in my opinion) worst is when people spread a huge map over the steering wheel and start navigating from it while driving.
