One of his best. A nice man in private life, a funny man in films, a damned good musician - George Formby.

I don't care who knows, or cares, I'm a Formby fan.

By all accounts his wife Beryl was a bit of a dragon and ruled his life and career with a rod of iron.

She even accompanied him on a record once, the title of which escapes me for the moment.
