This afternoon I was in town and waiting to cross Blackburn Road towards the Observer offices. There was a car just coming round the roundabout to come back along Blackburn Road and as I crossed it sped up. There were young lads leaning out of the windows making "bbbbbrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmm! roooooooooarrgh!" noises as they shot past me, barely missing me although I was almost on the pavement and the one in the back at the left hung so far out of the window laughing his stupid head off that I thought he was going to fall out! They didn't even slow down as they shot through the 'give way' road markings. If a car (with right of way) had been following the road round and up Eagle Street they would have slammed straight into it. Absolute idiots. I suppose they thought it was funny to see how close they could get to me without hitting me.

Unfortunately they were so fast I couldn't focus on the number plate but it was a white or cream coloured car with a black vynil top.
