Oh dear sorry jen your wrong again
I did have a folded towel on both handles that's why i thought it was safe( It was a new roasting tray) but the handles being thin and the weight of the chicken pressing down on the towels the heat came right through and it was a case of burnt fingers or no Sunday dinner .
(i got a lovely Sunday dinner)
