This to them is one of the nights of the year they look forward to it and its so sad when i see them walk round or walk round with them and people are sat in their houses watching tv and dont answer the door, they generally make the effort to say scary things and to do different haloween things on the door step, but its horrible this event has been ruined

I have no problem with kids enjoying them selves, having a party at home or with a social group, like brownies is a good idea. or going to friends or relatives doors even.

Ok, let em go round knocking at doors if they want, to people who want to hand over money, sweets, whatever. But I don't see why myself and others should be classed as miserable gits because we won't answer the door. And we won't all be "sat in front of the telly". Some of us have more important things to do than getting up to answer the door all night.

Even if these kids have made the effort with their pocket money, why should I hand money over to re-emburse that? And if I had money to spare for sweets, they would be going to my grandkids.

Young kids coming round on their own without an adult annoys me too, who lets little uns out on there own after dark?
