Loss leading is when a shop will sell products at a loss to themselves, and advertise it, but then make the profit up on other products in the store, or other connecting products. When I say 'hidden higher prices' I mean higher prices on goods that you just don't notice, so end up paying more than perhaps you might pay elsewhere.
