Today my son received a letter from what we thought was the club. After reading about the Matchday Club we thought it might be some info inviting him to join this scheme.
I didn't open it as it was from Stanley and addressed to him but imagine his disappointment when opening it to find he was being asked if he was worried about the credit crunch and to prevent him paying 40% tax on his estate when he dies, he's only 7 for gods sake.
After a phone call to Accrington Stanley FC Financial Services his name has know been removed from their mailing list but I still have to contact the club as I want to know why Junior Eagles details are being passed on in this way or is this part of the goodies that where promised, not happy!!!
This hasn't put him off as he wants to try the Matchday Club if I can convince my wife that not everybody at Stanley is an idiot.
