But it wasn't funny. I think that political correctness is a blight on this country, and I've no problems with jokes aimed at minorities. However, his comment didn't pass as a joke, I'm afraid. There are more people who would be offended or hurt by it than would laugh at it.
I find Top Gear very entertaining and JC's humour is usually right up my street, but this one made me cringe.
