Love the show, hate the audience
I've put a review of Jekyll and Hide on the proper thread but I just thought I'd start this one off so that I can have a good gripe about the audience.
Why, oh why, do people talk all the way through the show?
On one side of me I had a woman who'd clearly been in the show in the past herself and so kept telling her companion what they did at certain bits.
Behind me I had three old dears who added comments like 'oh 'eck what's he gone and done now' when Jekyll swigged the potion or 'ooooo, he's back' when Hide appears for the second time. Shut up already - I can see he's back!
During another recent show I went to see, the man behind me must have munched his way through three bags of crisps in the second half!
When I watch a show I'm transported to wherever the actors are, I like to watch and absorb what's going on, not hear about someone else's experience of it. Out of respect for the actors, if nothing else, please please keep quiet. And if you can't be quiet please don't sit anywhere near me.
