Those swines broke the baby's back and it's a crime that screams to Heaven for vengeance and justice. If it were in my power I'd have the same done to them but all that will happen is a few years in prison for the perpetrators and a bit of tut-tutting for the Social Services. Is that how much we value a little child's life?

Death doesn't bring justice. I think that people should focus on the child's spirit itself rather than what happened to him. How amazing that he still tried to smile through that treatment. That child probably wasn't old enough to understand the concept of hope or the possibility things could get better, yet still smiled when they could. That child was so pure that I couldn't ever believe it would wish something as adultly as death upon someone. I imagine all it would hope is that rather than focusing on the monster behind bars we took action to ensure we provide safety and love for all the other children currently being abused by people in the world, especially the ones right under our noses.
I don't find these cases make me angry, I just find I feel very helpless and unfortunately for me, killing the person that commit those crimes would not make me feel any better. If anything I'd only feel worse.
But that isn't really the debate and I think people should keep the anger to themselves and leave messages of love for the child instead.
