I think what you propose is really interesting though. My University Union had a 'No Platform' policy, which expired this year, and the executive decided not to keep it. Essentially what it did was removed the right of the BNP, Hizb ut-Tahrir and some other extreme political organisations from speaking, leafleting and existing within the union building.
There were lots of arguments put up on both sides, and I think it would make a really interesting thread in general chat if you wanted to start it.  |
