I think even Britcliffe can now see, after much public opposition, that it would cost too much, and there'd be absolutely no benefits to those of us living in Hyndburn, and paying for it.

Also, according to this weekend's press there seems to be a groundswell of opinion agasinst the town council idea. Mainly because there is too little information as to what they would, and wouldn't, be responsible for, and we'd be paying more council tax for the privilege, which were the main concerns voiced on here.

Why aren't things properly planned out and costed?

Probably because it's not their money.

It's that magic public money, that apparently grows on trees.
