I have heard the 'clique' thing before, but not the 'closed shop' or 'mafia' thing going on, At meets, you do as I said before generally get a politics table, a football table, a mods table, etc, you have minglers (or intelligent people) who can talk about any subject, and then people from all the tables who smoke, and chat outside, in general, the people who have been on this site the longest, greet each other more readily because they have known each other many years and it is human nature to do that rather than spend a lot of time with a 'stranger', but in my opinion, everybody makes newcomers feel very welcome be it on here or at a meet, the only kind of segregation (if you could call it that) are when people disagree strongly with another member, or think that something a member has done or said is very disagreeable/unsavoury/callous etc, but in general, they are all talking again very soon, if this were not the case, I can think of maybe 2 members who would not get any answers to thier posts at all, but they still do, and why not? They are entitled to thier opinion without fear of a 'clique' ganging up on them because they disagree with that opinion.. Going to load my gun now for the next person/bunch of people that disagree with me!
