Your bleep is probably coming from a quantum wormhole and someone from ‘over there’ is trying to communicate with you.

It happens when both of my pcs are switched off at the wall socket.

You may recall my Phantom bellringer thread.
I removed one of the bells. People have to knock now.
I now have a phantom door knocker - and it isn't naughty boys playing nick nack - that door is on the landing of a stairwell and it sometimes happens when the outer door to the stairwell is locked.
Feeling a bit 'spooked'
PS that knocking stopped when the bleep started - wonder what 'they' will try next
