If its wireless then its easy enough to connect your PS3, you will need your WEP (IIRC) (the code to stop anyone connection to you net), you will go into the PS3 settings and search for connections, if it finds something it should ask you for the WEP code then your up and running.

As far as i'm aware haven't got a router. With virgin and my modem is in my set top box. I'm useless with technology (sp)
