I'm not saying that this is what happened with this young lad and I hope he gets well quickly.
iv seen kids jumping out infront of cars on harvey street trying to scare drivers into swerving thinking they are big and clever and like your self have experinced kids deliberatly standing in the road making cars stop infact they also like to do it near the war memorial standing on the traffic island jumping out or pretending to jump out infront of cars as they pass by

i used to be firm believer that a driver should be aware of the dangers of the road and be held fully resposible if they hit somone but with the stupid games kids play and total disregard for their own safety when crossing a road i can understand why a driver could easily hit somone and not be able to prevent an accident

its amazing how a teenage yob provoking an accident can suddenly become a saint and expert road crosser once it gets run over

again im not saying this is what this particular child was doing but it happens
