i used to be firm believer that a driver should be aware of the dangers of the road and be held fully resposible if they hit somone but with the stupid games kids play and total disregard for their own safety when crossing a road i can understand why a driver could easily hit somone and not be able to prevent an accident
its amazing how a teenage yob provoking an accident can suddenly become a saint and expert road crosser once it gets run over
again im not saying this is what this particular child was doing but it happens

I travel on Harvey Street a lot, and whilst its certainly true that many drivers do drive far to fast along there, i have to agree that there is a big problem with teenagers loitering in the roads and deliberatly causing problems for drivers. This occurs mainly around the Community centre area.
I notice in the Newspaper though, that they are drawing attention to the fact that there were two "Elderly" Couples in the car. Do you think someone is already trying to apportion blame??
