Just been up the road & took these, there not too good as the light was wrong. Part of the perimeter wall still stands, one of the out buildings was renovated, using some of the stone from the original buildings.
The last person to use it as a residence, was Major George Nicholas Slinger. He lost two sons in WW1, George Nicholas Junr and William.
George Senr, was one of the officers in the original Accrington Pals, but he never served with them, in May 1915, Lt/Col Rickman transferred him to the 12th Battalion.
