Re: bus fares on the up

Petrol on sale at the moment may be cheap but the most recent petrol that is being transported to our petrol pumps at the moment may have gone up, which would explain why they have put up petrol prices. I wouldn't know the current price petrol is being sold for at the moment though.

In other words the gas companies obviously know when gas prices will be going up before the rest of us. In theory they should put them down when it is cheap but they rarely ever do. I guess in a way though it makes the prices a little more consistent and stable.

Petrol must be regulated differently because obviously the price quite happily fluctuates by the day, but companies that depend on transport will obviously rise their prices based upon predictions from trends and such.

Either that or they're paying their staff more to get them through the bad times so they're charging us more I need to buy a bus pass again when I got back to uni so I'm not going to be best pleased if that has gone up too. I knew I should have tried to afford a 2 or 3 term bus pass.
