yeah there are idiots that will fly tip regardless but if councils took rubbish away weekly ,without leaving a disgusting mess and reliably like many other councils manage to do then a lot of the fly tipping would be irradicated

i once rang the council to remove an item from my back yard and was told to leave my gate unlocked and it woudl be removed withing 10 working days which is totaly unacceptable as i had items in my yard that i dint want stealing by somone been able to simply walk in and take them so i put it out in the back alley and reported that somone had dumped a fridge freezer on my back alley

what do you know , withing 2 hours a guy turned up with a clipboard who then rang teh collections department and it was taken away the same day

this was 4 years ago but the last time i was unfortunate enough to have to need HBC's services for removing rubbish i was told to leave my gate open which i had to do duee to not having a back alley this time and 2 weeks after my call the item had still not been removed and took a further 5 phonecalls/reminders before the item was taken away
