He certainly was a 'one off'.
I saw quite a bit of him, as very often we'd be in the same London clubs, and he was certainly colouful, though not in the same league as myself, when I was at my wackiest, wearing pork chops in my hair, dresses made from vintage fifties curtains with breasts and phallus attached etc.
I once saw him give an 'art performance' at the Fridge in Brixton. I won't go into too much detail, but it involved an enema and some stirrups. Let's just say the audience nearest the stage would struggle getting a cab home, and would have a huge dry cleaning bill.
