its nowt new bernie, i was binned in feb 98 after 23 years service, from a staff job,on damn good money, all i was offered at time was jobs (minimum wage) which i took one, cos i had always worked....stupid, was treated like crap, which did not sit well wi me, so i cleared off to spain. the rest is history.
i was told at the "joke centre" all i would get was minimum wage cos of me age, was 50 at the time, couple of interviews i had refused me n actually told me, they wanted someone younger.
