Amongst all this carnage comes the heart warming story of Sam(antha) the koala who was rescued and now has a koala boy friend in the rescue centre.

Sadly this is just one story as opposed to the estimated hundreds of thousands of animals that lost their lives.

If there is an award for the best amateur video of the year then surely this

must be it.
