There is no guarantee that your fruit and veg had much by way of vitamins and minerals when you bought them, and will have less for every day you store them.
This hype about 'have 5 a day' assumes that they are as nutritious as they were when grown 60 years ago, when diet was intensively studied for 'rationing' guidelines, and when the journey from field to you was shorter.
Intensive growing, herbicides and artificial fertilizers has made them less nutritious, so if you want to be on the safe side - eat 25 a day - and stay near a loo always
