These were always a favourite with my kids
..RASPBERRY BUNS..
12 oz sr flour
6 oz butter or marge
about 2 oz desicated coconut if liked
5 oz sugar,,,if you are sugar conscious ,,,,,or 6 oz if your not
2 eggs
raspberry jam
rub flour and marge together ( Like you would for pastry
add sugar and beaten eggs and coconut until its like a dough,,if dry add a touch of milk but it mustn't be too soft,,
roll out dough and cut with cookie cutter about 3 inch deep
stick a hole in the top of each bun with a clean finger,,,and fill with a teaspoon of jam
a tiny bit of coconut on top of the jam stops it from running all over in cooking
brush with milk or egg and stick in nice hot oven for about 10/15 mins until golden brown,,,
