Retlaw, If you had read even the cover of the book I gave you -'Our Boys', then you would have heard of Jonathan Ali and Hawkshaw. At the end of his talk, the audience will have a deeper understanding of the effects of WW1 on the participants , their families and the community. In this respect, Hawkshaw was like Accrington.
What would Bill Turner have written in response to the initial posting? What would his view of your tunnel vision have been? If Bill were alive today, he would be turning over in his grave.
