When I lived up Belthorn the street was unadopted.
I mixed concrete and filled the holes in my section myself.
There are advantages - cars parked on it can be told to 'get off'.
Now that car parking on terraced streets is a severe problem, being always guaranteed a place near your front door is an asset.
