Believe me I know about kids being secretive, it's knowing what you got upto is what makes it scary as a parent.
Trust me I have 4 kids 15, (my 15 yr old has disabilities so is supervised at all times)13, 10 and 5, I am just at the beginning of the teens with my 13yr old and already is becoming more distant. I will not allow him to go to any friends houses after school if I don't know them and if there are no parents at home. Last week he got an invite to a party with both boys and girls attending, I phoned the parents to make sure it was supervised. And when he gets mad, tells me it's not fair etc... too bad.
What I do know is that teens need to know is that they have choices and that they have to be accountable for the choices they make.
