With my limited experience with UPVC windows and doors Neil the glaze beading were always on the inside to prevent them being easy to break into, the only windows I came across with outside beadings were Shop front windows, but I have to say I didn't fit to many UPVC in homes as most of my work was in Bars (and I don't mean drinking either

)and Shops
