Points Do Not Make Prizes.
Not in Formula 1 they don’t.
From now on, although points will still be awarded as before these will only come into play if there are tied drivers who have won Grands Prix.
Because the rule is that the champion of the season will be the driver who has won most Grands Prix.
Had this been in force last year Massa would have become world champion and not Hamilton.
Of course this has nothing to do with favouring Ferrari has it?
I wonder if Bernie Eccleston and co have thought it through? Instead of the championship going down to the last race or two and thus keeping interest alive until the end it could be won well before then.
I would simply ask, who is the better driver?
He who consistently finishes in the top three or four with a few wins or someone who wins 8 races and fails in most of the rest.
