Your talking about Father John Davis cashy, was a top, top bloke, his local was the Hargreaves Arms, I'd been drinking with him for six months before I found out he was a catholic priest. The owd gits, as you called um were always on to him about drinking in pubs, his reply was you don't find sinners in Church

He actually left the Church about 1979, he got a job running a bail hostel in Bury, on Bury Road actually, I called into see him when I was in Bury General Hospital in 1980, they used to encourage us to go for a walk when we were ready for discharge so I decided to try and find him, had good half hour in his office having a brew.
