Kind of agree with you .... a funeral is a common enough rite de passage (I think Levi Strauss came up with that one when he wasn't designing jeans) ... the form it takes isn't really relevant ... It's hard to avoid some sort of ritual at the passing of a loved one; and I don't think it is ok to interfere with saying goodby to a life ... and this, it's just a form of cremation. I have avoided the whole deal by donating my remains to Queen's University School of Medicine (they will be particularly intrigued by my liver
