Electric trams started on the Church route from Blackburn on 9th August 1901, so this photo of a steam tram and its trailer is before then- c1900. . (This information taken from 'Blackburn Tram Rides' by Jim Halsall.) There is another photo of this bridge taken in 1948 which shows a young cyclist astride his bike on the left, with the bridge in the distance. It has a big CEPHOS POWDERS advert on the bridge. That lad is Jim Halsall
