Well I don't think you can justify the pay rise and I sure as hell find the salary very hard to swallow. Would be great to have the salary of a member of our emergency services to compare with. I just find £100,000 plus a very high amount and hope they have plenty of savings for retirement because my goodness are they going to struggle on the pittance the goverment pays them. As for falling ill before they retire they would never survive(unless they are paying into a private insurance scheme).
