Re: Holidays

You can't get hold of Bulgarian Lev, outside of Bulgaria. The exchange rate is sometimes better for US Dollar than it is for Sterling, so it's best to check before you get any travellers cheques. When I went, Sterling was more favourable. I spent a grand total of £100 all week. We ate out twice a day (lunch and evening meal) went to bars, bought 200 ciggies for my mum, and some paintings from street artists. Hotels have good exchange facilities and the flights tend to get in when these services are still open, so you can exchange currency as soon as you get there.
The most expensive meal we had was in the Casino in Golden Sands. We both had a starter, steak dinner, crepes and 2 bottles of wine, all for the princely sum of £7.50 each... There was entertainment with that too..
