Ber999 Maybe it's because he was always mentioning the St John Ambulance that an incident today had me thinking.
I have been on allsorts of first aid courses to do with work, I thought, come the time I can cope, well today proved me wrong, sitting with friends a stranger stood up and fell onto the floor unconscious I was the nearest, so I went over to him, my mind racing, thoughts of what is the recovery position? How, if I need to, do I give artificial respiration?
Fortunately, as I gently took hold of his head to relieve the pressure on his nose he came back to us, then sat down and assured us it does sometimes happen to him, I'll be alright in a minute he claimed, (no shilleglie it wasn't an epileptic fit my sister-in-law had them I would have recognised it).
But whatever it was, it has now got me determined that I
will go on a refresher course, after all we never know when such things will happen nor will we be so lucky that it turns out to be something so minor.
