the statement from Cav should have been released immediately.
Cav can maybe defend his position in this shambles, rightly or wrongly he has broken the rules laid out by the FA but it may be excusable depending on this or that. No statement at all from anybody regarding Rocky and I fear he has no leg to stand on.
The problem for the FA is how to apply punishment? Do they give Cav a 10 match ban and Rocky a 10 month ban? They can't really do that becaue it would set a precedent where a sliding scale is implemented according to how much you bet.
Personally my original opinion has changed somewhat as far as our captain is concerned and I hope he can successfully defend (he's better attacking
) himself.
